This list pertains to things that civvies cannot or businesses, for that matter, I suppose, cannot officially send through any postal means, to another destination. A lot of these items were added in the last few years, 2007 and thereabouts. It applies to all door-to-door and delivery services.

The civil aviation administration seem to have largely participated in providing restrictions on things that only would go by road haulier. The list only partially reproduced here covers everything from the once ubiquitous but now rarely seen matchstick to the deadly christmas cracker covering everything else in between. Well done Britain. You're on your knees I see. Now kiss your masters' ass.

Just a very partial list from: http://www.parcelforce.com/

If we identify a parcel containing prohibited goods, Parcelforce Worldwide may deal with them as it sees fit (without incurring any liability to the customer or recipient) and shall be entitled to charge the customer with the costs of disposal and all other costs reasonably incurred and additionally the sum of £20, if it chooses to return the consignment or any part of it.

To comply with strict regulations Parcelforce Worldwide does not carry any goods classified as dangerous in the latest edition of the Civil Aviation Organisation's Technical Instructions.

There are nine hazard classes which cover these and the examples quoted below must not be taken as full lists of all dangerous goods. We will not accept other materials and products that may be hazardous to our handling staff.
