Attempt by Obama Operatives to Turn Memorial Into Political Rally Backfires

On Wednesday night in Tucson, Arizona, Obama and the Democrats disrespected the dead and turned a memorial into a cheap and tawdry political rally for the re-election campaign of Barry Obama.

A few of the usual pundits and observers noticed the obvious attempt to gain political mileage out of the dead and wounded by the Obama machine.

“Never before in the annals of national moments of mourning have the words spoken been so wildly mismatched by the spirit in which they were received,” writes John Podhoretz. “There was something about the choice of place, a college arena with the appropriate name of the McKale Memorial Center, that made the event turn literally sophomoric.”

The Washington Post said it is not “offering a judgment on whether or not it was an appropriate tone for a memorial service, but rather that it made for at-times incongruous sounds and images on television.”

The New York Times skirted the truth when Michael Shear wrote: “Mr. Obama’s speech, delivered amid sorrow, offered a fresh glimpse of the candidate who used hope as the tool to inspire his [supporters].”

“This was more like an Arsenio Hall show than a memorial service,” Doug Lucas, writing for American Thinker, complains today. “Catcalls, standing ovations, whistling and the whoop, whoop, whoop of the crowd dominated the night. What should have been a somber occasion for reflection turned into another Obama pep rally. It was as if these students had their guy up on stage and by God they weren’t about to let a national tragedy get in the way of them having a good time and cheering on their messiah.”

From the moment a politically correct Indian invoked ancestral spirits it was obvious the event was designed to be a political rally for Obama.

The creepy zombie-like Obama supporters we endured during the election returned in force and completely overshadowed any solemnity intended for the dead.

Another indication Democrats planned to exploit the dead came when operatives placed “Together We Thrive: Tucson & America” t-shirts on seats in the lower sections of the arena prior to the arrival of participants.

On January 10, the University of Arizona announced that Team Obama had accepted an invitation to visit Tucson in response to the shooting on Saturday. “President Obama will speak at a memorial event at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 to support and remember victims of the mass shooting in Tucson, and to lift the spirits of those who have been personally affected by this tragedy,” UANews reported.

It takes time to design and manufacture thousands of t-shirts, a fact that leads one to conclude that Obama’s handlers had planned to exploit the tragedy soon after it occurred last weekend.

Rahm Emanuel, Obama chief of staff, once averred “never let a good crisis go to waste.” Soon after the shooting, however, Emanuel was quick to declare his political maxim “is not not intended for this moment, it doesn’t apply to this moment.”

The reaction of the Barry Obama faithful last night indicates otherwise. The corporate media is now predictably praiseful of the scriptwriter eloquence of Obama’s teleprompter speech. But with a few notable exceptions they have ignored the obvious fact that Barry Obama operatives decided before the smoke cleared in Tucson to exploit the memorial for political gain.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Obama has kicked off his re-election campaign on the bodies of Jared Lee Loughner’s victims, including the body of a nine year old child.

Even with the stench and pallor of the dead, politics never seem to change in the district of criminals.

WSJ posted this article the very same day as the memorial in Tucson. It was NOT a memorial, it WAS a political rally in which Soetoro took advantage of the victims and their grieving families in his 2012 re-election bid.

Obama Begins Gearing Up Re-Election Bid
Democratic Officials Say Early Start Is Needed in Part to Commence Fund-Raising for Contest Expected to Cost $1 Billion

By JONATHAN WEISMAN And LAURA MECKLER

The White House will announce as soon as this month the creation of President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, with fund-raising likely to begin in March or early April, said officials involved in the planning.

The looming departure of three top White House officials has brought into early focus the contours of the election effort—and has surfaced concern from some Democrats that Mr. Obama is beginning too soon.

Democratic officials said the re-election campaign needs an early start to establish Mr. Obama as a formidable candidate and begin raising money for a bid expected to cost each party around $1 billion.

White House officials declined to discuss re-election efforts.

After a disastrous midterm election for his party, Mr. Obama recently has been seeking to re-establish himself as a unifying figure who can appeal to independent voters. Now, some Democratic strategists close to the White House fear the return of Mr. Obama as a candidate could harm the repositioning effort.

Moreover, some of these Democrats, who at times advise Mr. Obama's inner circle, worry that the establishment of a campaign office in Chicago will create two power centers that may clash.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, presidential adviser David Axelrod and Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina will all leave Washington in the coming weeks to form the core of a re-election campaign, with Mr. Messina directing the effort.

Mr. Obama's announcement that he is establishing a re-election campaign will be low-key, possibly just an email to supporters or a written statement, said a Democratic official familiar with the planning.

The president's 2008 campaign manager, David Plouffe, began work Monday at the White House as a senior adviser, overseeing political operations, communications and message. Officials said he will serve as a bridge to the Chicago campaign.

Messrs. Axelrod and Gibbs have said they will take time off to rest and make some money before starting on the re-election campaign.

Democratic officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a fledgling fund-raising effort will likely be under way in March, at first to raise money needed to open a campaign headquarters in Chicago, hire initial staff and set up Internet operations and a fund-raising apparatus. By April, those efforts should have yielded money to take the next steps, such as hiring field staff.

White House officials on Tuesday disputed that timeline but refused to say when the initial fund-raising would begin.

Senior officials from the Democratic National Committee who worked on Mr. Obama's 2008 campaign are likely to migrate to the re-election campaign.

Top Obama 2008 fund-raisers are likely to reactivate their campaign efforts, one Democratic official close to the effort said. White House political director Patrick Gaspard may move to the Democratic National Committee, partly to assure his salary isn't paid with taxpayer dollars when he is working on campaign activities.

The timing puts Mr. Obama's efforts on a faster track than those of many potential GOP rivals, but it isn't far off the course set by President George W. Bush in the 2004 election.

The Bush re-election campaign's statement of organization was filed in May of 2003. While Mr. Bush's campaign headquarters didn't open until that fall, one early Bush re-election aide said the fund-raising efforts began long before that.

For Mr. Obama, the initial fund-raising push in part will aim to show that he can fight in as many states as he did in 2008, when he won two-thirds of the Electoral College vote, Democratic officials said.

One Democratic official said he believed the president was just now losing the polarizing edge that dropped his approval ratings into the mid-40s last year. Mr. Obama rebounded to a 50% job approval last week in the Gallup daily tracking poll for the first time since early June.

Some Republicans gearing up to challenge the president said any effort on his part to regain political independents isn't likely to succeed. Alex Conant, a GOP strategist who advises former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, said Mr. Obama can't run as the "post-partisan" of 2008 because voters know him now as something different. "The center and independent voters who went for him in '08 abandoned him in the midterms," Mr. Conant said. "It's going to be hard to win them back because they've seen him govern as a movement liberal for two years."

The two most recent White House re-election campaigns, Bill Clinton's in 1996 and George W. Bush's in 2004, were both based in Washington. One Democratic official close to the White House worried that a distant campaign apparatus would create conflicting power centers.

James Carville, manager of Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign based in Little Rock, Ark., said the space between Washington and Chicago will inevitably lead to differences. "We used to have a saying in '92, when a lot of people wanted to be a help but wanted to be in Washington," Mr. Carville said. " 'If you're not here, you're not here.' "

I was just listening to yesterday's AJ show and I heard Alex's analysis concerning Soetoro's serving as a "moderating influence" above the controversy that his own people are stirring up, and it dawned on me that Stalin used a similar tactic.

In the specific case of N. I. Bukharin, the party press and lower party organizations were demanding that Bukharin be expelled and prosecuted for "Rightist Deviation", but Stalin would pretend to defend him by saying things along the lines of "Just think of all the good things he's done.".  The calls for Bukharin's arrest would only grow, and, finally, Stalin announced: "I must give in to the will of the people.".

By the way, Stalin's purges began as a reaction to the assassination of S. M. Kirov, long believed to have been ordered by Stalin himself (i.e., a false-flag inside job).

Theme of “Together We Thrive” T-shirt came from Obama’s Organizing for America
By Judi McLeod  Friday, January 14, 2011

The “Together We Thrive” T-shirts that starred at Wednesday’s Arizona `Memorial’ originated from Organizing for America (here), a sad fact unearthed by The Drumbeat of Liberty and the Preservation of Freedom editor and Canada Free Press (CFP) columnist Robert Rohlfing.

In the controversy of the pep rally/rock concert style Memorial for those who lost their lives in Saturday’s Arizona tragedy, the mainstream media reported that the “Together We Thrive: Tucson & America” T-shirt given to mourners as they entered McKale Center was the idea of University of Arizona brass, not the Obama administration.

Yet the “Together We Thrive” slogan dates back to a post to Obama’s own Organizing for America in a Feb. 11, 2008 post by self-described “globalist” John Berry IV.

More than passing strange that the Obama campaign message of civility was the same on Feb. 11, 2008 as it was in his Wednesday Memorial speech, and the same one, too carried by the mainstream media in coverage of the Memorial.

For too long Americans have been set one against the other, it is a side affect of a free market society.  How can profits be maximized, how can I get the work done for the lowest possible costs.  This continually sets one group against the other, especially in the blue collar sectors of America.  It has become a part of the American Business model, whether it was indentured servants, slaves picking cotton, sharecroppers, the industrious people that built the railroads or todays migrant workers.  As long as we remain divided, fighting for the scraps that America has to offer it will be one group against the other.

What I see in Obama is a chance for a revolution.  A chance for every group to participate and be heard;  A chance to live the American dream that has been denied to so many.  Together we can and will change the world and return America to the shining beacon of Hope and Prosperity that we were and that we can be again.  Only when we work together do we accomplish feats that rival any ever accomplished in the history of mankind.  Diversity is our strength, that is what this campaign brings us a promise of.  For many this is a scary prospect and thought, getting to know someone different from myself.  We all want the same basic things for example a safe place to live, health and a quality education for our kids.

In a previous career, I was the global leader of Diversity for a global fortune 500 corporation, I have studied the affects of diverse groups working together and the results can not be denied.  Together we Thrive!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I believe I may have figured out the motivation behind Stalin's masterful propaganda ploy concerning the fate of Comrade N. I. Bukharin.  (One must keep in mind Stalin's obvious mental illness as well as his vindictiveness.)  Comrade Bukharin publicly supported Stalin, while privately loathing him, a fact of which Stalin was well aware due to telephone wiretaps as well as surveillance of his activities while abroad.  (You must remember that, in Stalin's day, the mere fact of being sent abroad was usually the beginning of one's being framed for espionage or treason or some other such fantasy, but Comrade Bukharin's trip abroad occurred prior to this point becoming known.)  So, Stalin reciprocated by publicly praising Comrade Bukharin while working behind the scenes for his liquidation, much like a cat playing with a mouse he's just caught in order to enjoy the intoxicating smell of murine fear.

Sick, sick, sick!

And just as sick are our rulers who emulate his methods.
