The mechanisms of evolution—like natural selection and genetic drift—work with the random variation generated by mutation.

heres the proof.

A two-headed calf

A five-legged bull

A five-legged puppy

Two-headed snake

Mutant piglet

Yes mutations....

personal beliefs.  Cheesy

evolution relies on "mutations", well theres some mutations.  Cry

I had some others but they were to sad to post, like a 2 faced kitten.

It just gos to show that mutations do not mean evolution, as these animals would not survive and mate in the wild.

Dok,
That's a simplistic view of mutation and would do nothing to convince a true skeptic. Those are only mutations gone wrong. Nature is full of examples of mutations that went right. The problem is when the evolutionist makes the leap to interspecies mutation like an ape becoming a man. We don't see apes mutating into men.

Dok,
I spoke out of turn. I thought the variations that occur naturally as a result of adaptation of species to various conditions were mutations. I googled mutation and apparently mutation is something different. I apologize.
