If there appears to be something wrong with the browser based java applet for the chat room, you can still get into chat by using an IRC chat client like IceChat 7 (Freeware) or xChat (30 Day Free Trial). The server address is irc.ukginger.net Port 6667 for IceChat 7 or irc.ukginger.net/6667 for xChat. The chat room is #chat.
