The BBC relegated this to an hour before midnight. Obviously not going to be popular.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b01b1g96And this rip for the longer term "Paranoiac":
Thinking Allowed – Conspiracy TheoriesThe Authors of two books on the Psychology & Origins of 'Conspiracy Theories' are interviewed by the BBC's 'Thinking Allowed' programme and the Open University Prof gets to label the believers of such 'theories' as "
People with the most to lose ..., like Americans". my quotes.
Much of the thinking aligns with what must be a zeitgeist being propagated through, by and for the benefit of the so-called British intellectual classes. I too have found myself meditating weirily about some of these things brought up, such as 'Qui Bono'?
The program starts with the OU author describing how he was introduced to conspiracy theories about the Moon Landing (sic) whilst being followed around Tunisia by the Secret Police. So presumably he can't make a link between the existence of 'Secret Societies' and Secret Police as being indicative that for people in Tunisia, at that time, these facts would have meant for them, that 'Thinking Allowed' as their programme is entitled would not have been tolerated.
They are conducting a witch hunt, but go on at one point, to label the conspiracy theorists as conducting a witch-hunt. Well you can't have your cake and eat it fools.
Interesting to note how the highlighting & naming of the CFR, Bilderberg Group, 9/11 Inside Job, Big Pharma and JFK and the rest, by the author does prompt the other two to jump in to label political behaviour shaped by a belief in these things as 'Dangerous and which should not be openly tolerated.'
They conclude that the ruling Elite in Pakistan and their infatuation with ‘conspiracy theories’ as an explanation for their ills at this time, as reason enough to condemn western Truthers and Activists. “
We can say with great certainty that those who originate, propagate and conceive CT's are the educated, academics, journalists and that these things do not come from the Working Class leaders and The Peasant Classes [..] but are the delusions of the defeated of history […] why is it more Republicans believe Barrack O’Bummer is part of a CT, […] and then we have more women involved when it comes to theories about Big Pharma being forcing their children to be vaccinated.”
Ends cynically with "Download our Podcast: 'The Paranoids are after us'. Why bother?
