Where do I put this thread(?) ... anyway here goes!
Dissonant means, in my opinion, 'Does not ring true'. It's the opposite of Resonant.
The Darwinian World of 'Survival of The Fittest' pseudo-theology is full of Gigantosaur sized Gaffs.
Why, even the so-called Brontosaurus, we came to love as children, is the same thing as the Apatosaurus. in fact the former never existed, and the latter was a more accurate palaeontological reconstrucion of the same creature ... but anyhow ...
It has long been asserted by evolutionary Biologists and the like, that birds evolved out from the species of reptile or lizard, namely dinosaurs or 'Giant Lizards'. The proof they always claimed is in the similarity of Reptilian scales and Bird Feathers ...
Well that wild suggestion lasted for a few years, until it was firmly debunked by some Christian biologists... in this way ...
Bird Feather - scaffolding or infrastructure ...The theory of evolution is compelled to propose that feathers that are perfectly designed for flight evolved from reptile scales. Feathers and scales, however, are completely different from each other in terms of genetic origins and embryologic development. Above is the detailed structure of a bird feather and on the side are the scales of a reptile.... Reptilian Scales.Close-up of reptile scales. As we see clearly, scales are overlapping hard skin parts. They have no resemblance whatsoever to feathers. So, to now fill in the gap in this useless eater's half-baked knowledge of matters biological, of uncertainty in matters of science, the bbc have been scheduling a series of 30-mins programmes called PLANET DINOSAUR.
But in it there is a theme, all to be expected when you understand that at stake are large investments of scientific 'street--credo' biased against any consideration of god, in an ongoing war of words with Creationists, and this in defence of Evolutionary Theory. But the dice are biased to fall in favour of evolutionary biology's 'Survival of the Fittest'; I suppose a latter day form of 'He who dares wins' motto.
So, take a listen to this audio file in which the Programme Narrator John Hurt (some actor or other) makes a beautiful example of 'Cognitive Dissonance', as if it was meant to be picked up for its' total contradictory message.
Listen particularly at the first and last sentences ... which totally contradict.

And to boot the show really rounds itself off nicely with the discovery of an entirely new Species of Dinosaur, from Lancashire apparently ... with a craving for cheese ...
