I've not actually heard anything other than a short clip-preview of this, so it's a guesstimate of the full storyline...
 'Oh little Green Men and CIA Holograms and all that crap' you say, but then again you've not been around much have you ... Story of an ET computer technology that appears to threaten stability in a Religious centric future. (as if)

..  And as if in autologous(huh?) self-parody The phone rang yesterday. I picked up. Blank! Silence!

   Honestly, I said to break the quiet: 'Hello': Blankly and abruptly.

   In a Female Computer Synthesised voice, like the AI computer of the ALPHA story, the phone answered back: "GoodBye", and hung-up.

   IDIOTS! (Greek for Commoners, Common folk), I thought loudly to myself, and indeed, I was right.

    ... Unbelievable but a True Story!
