It was fairly successful, with about 40 to 50 participants.
All the old-timers were there, indicating that the Providence Left has finally regained it's sanity after a period of Obama worship. The lamestream media were conspicuously absent, and, when I asked one of the organizers whether or not he had notified the local TV stations, he replied: "Many, many, many times.".
The demo also supported the teachers, divestment of Brown University from defense contractors, ridding the Brown campus of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program, end of Israeli occupation of Palestine, and probably a few other causes I can't recall at the moment.
The reception from the passers-by was positive, except for one guy who charged through one of our rallies in a red-faced rage swearing at us. (He does, of course, have the right to express his opinions just as we have, but he was definitely counter-productive as a spokesman for his point of view.)
It was definitely an improvement over the last Saturday afternoon march I attended, during which there was a competing event in another part of the Downcity which left us marching down empty streets past empty buildings.
I'll post more later if I can think of anything else to add.

¡¿... A rally including 'Old-Timers' eh ....?!
Where was this, and how old are you by the way?
Don't take this wrongly, I'm smiling as I type.
