Title: FLUORIDE IN ANTI-DEPRESSANTS. "Do all SSRI's contain fluoride?" - Research. Post by: Jonnie Goodboy on November 23, 2011, 08:20:04 am From the 'S·o·c·i·a·l anxiety F·o·r·u·m.
I've included a list of some of the most popular antidepressants and their chemical formulas: Agomelatine (Valdoxan, Thymanax): C15H17NO2 Bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban): C13H18ClNO Buspirone (Buspar): C21H31N5O2 Citalopram (Celexa, Cipramil): C20H21FN2O Desvenlafaxine (Pristiq): C16H25NO2 Duloxetine (Cymbalta, Yentreve): C18H19NOS Escitalopram (Lexapro, Cipralex): C20H21FN2O Fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem): C17H18F3NO Fluvoxamine (Luvox, Faverin): C15H21F3N2O2 Mianserin (Bolvidon, Norval, Tolvon): C18H20N2 Milnacipran (Ixel, Savella): C15H22N2O Mirtazapine (Remeron, Avanza, Zispin): C17H19N3 Nefazodone (Serzone, Nefadar): C25H32ClN5O2 Paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat): C19H20FNO3 Reboxetine (Edronax, Vestra): C19H23NO3 Sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral): C17H17Cl2N Trazodone (Desyrel): C19H22ClN5O Venlafaxine (Effexor, Efexor): C17H27NO2 Viloxazine (Vivalan): C13H19NO3 So, out of all these, only citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, and paroxetine (all of the SSRIs except sertraline) contain the fluorine (F) atom (and therefore fluoride of course), with fluoxetine and fluvoxamine having three of them instead of just one like the others (hence, likely explaining where the flu- prefix in their names came from). Also, see here if you haven't already: http://www.poisonfluoride.com/pfpc/html/prozac.html Interesting stuff. Yet another reason not to take SSRIs :P P.S., fluoxetine is not 94.5% fluoride by any means.. 100% of fluoxetine molecules contain the element fluorine, but only about 5.5% (note how this value is the inverse of 94.%.. you had it backwards) of each molecule is of that element. "Do all SSRI's contain fluoride?" - Research. Post by: Jonnie Goodboy on April 02, 2012, 04:40:09 pm Now them you Fluoride Sucking Love Bunnies out there. So I spoke to my Doctor about this, in passing only of course, since I don't need such dreadful things as anti-depressants to get by in the best of all possible worlds, free of fear, hatred, predators, sectarian warfighting and ... Ah, I'm going on already. 'You didn't need to know that' to quote the Great Sir Hairy Seagoon. And he, the Quack not Hairy Seagoon, agreed that Fluoride in larger quantities is known to cause problems, but only after I hammered on and on and on about it for a whole 10-minute appointment. After which such intensive 'bombardment' by facts indisputable he could hardly have done otherwise. My advice? Don't take it. I mean don't take Fluoride laced SSRI or SNRI's. Check out the above list, chose as the author of the original article proposes, for instance, Sertraline and add some Amitryptiline, for good measure; both in MINIMAL doses, the latter for sleep-time use as it induces deep fatigue, quickly and even at the lowest conceivable dose, by increasing Serotonin of course. Now this talk may sound conveniently like that of either hypochondria or to the untuned ear as that of a person with deep mental issues. Yes, how convenient for you. But my point is, Judge not, for I used to be just like that person you are yet to figure out how to become. The Critic. Until the age of about 37 I would even shy away from a single Paracetamol and rather suffer the awful headaches brought on by the early technological advancements carried by the Motor-Car from Edgware rd., out to the subburbs and the 24-hr exposure to the Photo-chemical smogs of London this giant leap forward brought on at the turn of the 70's/1980's. Because I was an extremist man, I confess. It's dreadful don't you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nADFJlAggnY |
